Confidentiality
In order to properly assist you as a potential client, an initial telephone consultation will be provided at no charge. Any preliminary discussions will be for general information purposes only and shall not act as, or imply, any agreement by HMS Law Professional Corporation ("HMS Law") to provide you with legal services or to act on your behalf as legal counsel; unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties, in writing, by way of a Retainer Agreement.
A fully executed Retainer Agreement, upon mutually acceptable terms, shall be required before HMS Law shall agree to represent you or your company with respect to any legal matters. The terms of the Retainer Agreement, including the scope of the retainer, fees, and specific services to be offered, shall be provided to you in writing for review prior to entering into a solicitor-client relationship.
It is important to note that HMS Law cannot represent you as legal counsel, or address any urgent legal proceedings (including Court or Tribunal deadlines) on your behalf, until the Retainer Agreement has been properly executed and returned to HMS Law.
